Saturday. The day many sleep in. The rains last night coaxed out the last remaining leaves and now our paradise resembles a dewy rainforest. How could I possibly sleep in? It’s too beautiful out….besides we have so much planned for the day.

Among many outdoor projects, I have an indoor project. Last week I came home to dinner made, laundry running and a scrubbed floor. In an effort to make my days and nights easier, Chris decided to take charge of many things I normally handle. In doing so, we had more time as a family. In the past, I would have felt guilt instead of gratitude. But this week I simply felt loved and grateful for the man God blessed me with. So my indoor project is dump meals.

With E almost done with school, Chris will have even more on his plate. As I’ve said in previous posts, we love our crockpot. Crockpots are the busy family’s salvation. And if I can make Chris’s summer easier by spending an hour making dump meals, it’s worth it. In doing so, he will have more precious time for bike riding and fort building with E.

You can find a ton of these meals online. I simply use my imagination. In a gallon bag throw in frozen veggies, spices and meat if you choose. Chris and E love shrimp, so I needed to look up a recipe that included those gross little bottom feeders.

Coffee in my Christmas mug, Bon Iver on the turntable and a grateful heart. Fill your life up with beautiful and healthy ingredients. It will make your life easier.
