The Lines on my Face

A few weeks ago my friend Angie looked at me and said, “You have no wrinkles. You literally have no wrinkles.” This could have been the steroids bloating out my wrinkles or it could be amazing lotion. But it got me thinking.

Lines. They tell a story. They show a journey. A path. We all have them. Some choose to hide them. Others embrace. What will mine say at the end of it all? Will they show someone who frowned a lot or someone who laughed with abandon? Will they show worry or simple brow lines of curiosity? Will there be crinkles around my eyes that speak of loving gazes or of tears of sadness?

What will my lines say?

Angie says I have no wrinkles. But they are there. With every emotion they are there. I only hope that I leave you something to to remind you of laughter, curiosity, and love. To remind you of life. Life within our lines.

Lines do tell a story. So often we try not to smile so we don’t create laugh lines. But I love laugh lines as a matter of fact when I think about my grandfather his laugh lines are the first thing I see. And that makes me smile and remember how he was full of jokes. Laugh lines are happy lines ♥️
